Dassam Falls : These falls are situated on Tata Road at a distance of about 40 kms from Ranchi. These falls descend from a height of about 144 feet giving the onlookers the most beautiful and scenic view as well. Due to the heavy flow of the stream, the tourists are warned to be extra careful. Also tagged as the finest waterfalls in the north eastern regions of India, Dassam Falls are also known as Dassam Ghagh, which today attracts the maximum number of national as well as international tourists. Hundru Falls : Tagged as one of the most admired tourist attractions of Ranchi; Hundru falls are situated at a distance of 45 km from Ranchi on the Ranchi Purulia highway. Falling water of the river Swarnarekha from an altitude of 320 feet creates an amazing cascade and picturesque view of the Hundru falls. These falls are also considered as the loftiest waterfall all around the state. The stunning pond at the bottom of these waterfalls makes the place favorable for picnic and bathing.
