Travel Destinations in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh is The Indian State of Rising Sun and a must visit Tourist Destination for India travelers to explore Festivals , art and culture of North east India. Arunachal Pradesh is the north-eastern state of India that is sharing Indian border with three International neighbouring countries. This state is considered as a Land of Rising Sun for India. Arunachal Pradesh is a land where great events from Hindu mythology took place and made this land pious and meaningful.

Malinithan : The excavation in Arunachal Pradesh reveals the stories of Indian Mythology and cultural heritage. The Malinithan is a site of temple ruins that holds icons of deities and many divine images along with pictures of animals and flowers. It is said that Krishna married Rukhmani here and then they were welcomed by Goddess Parvathi with garlands and hence this place was called as Malinithan. The relics and sculptures here belong to 14th or 15th century.

Itananagar : Itananagar is another place that reveals story about the historical fort Itafort, which is standing there since 14th – 15th century. Itananager envelopes place like the Rajbhawans i.e. the capital houses and the Governors official residence. The Ganga Lake, surrounded by beautiful orchids and forest is yet another attracting point of Itnanager, which along with the history of Arunachal Pradesh reveals the natural richness of the state.

Parashuman Kund : The scenic beauty of Arunachal Pradesh fills the heart and mind with simplicity and freshness. The Parashuram Kund, though is a scared place for holi dips, but it more widely visited by tourist for its scenic beauty. Every year thousands of devotees and tourists visit to bless themselves both religiously and scenically.

There is also the Pankang Teng Tso lake, which is one of the famous tourist spot with a breathtaking scenic site.

Aakshiganga: The land of Arunachal Pradesh is better associated with religious convictions. There are different religious beliefs that are clearly visible here. From 8th century onwards a temple of Goddess Parvathi, by the name of Aakshiganga, is still worshipped and is considered scared. It is said that when Lord Shiva was morning over Parvathi (Sati) death and was roaming with her corpse, then to pull Lord Shiva out from this devastating condition, Lord Vishnu cut the corpse of Parvathi into small pieces and one of her body pieces is what that makes the foundation of Aakshiganga.

Tawang Monastery : The Tawang Monastry was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyamtso. It is the largest monastery in Indian and second largest in Asia. It shows the religious aspects and acceptance along with spread of Buddhist culture. This monastery is nearly 4oo years old. There are many old scriptures preserved in its library that belong to 17th century.

Namdapha National Park : Talking about the forest of Arunachal Pradesh one can surely comprehend about its wild life. The Namdapha National Park is spread in a wide area. Red Panda, Himalaya black Bear, majestic gaur, elephants, musk dear are all found here. These parks also have the royal predators like the tigers, rare snow leopards and clouded leopards. It is also rich with many rare species, diverse habitats and floras.

Arunachal Pradesh is surely a divine and holy land, where through centuries, Indian mythology and historical epics are going hand in hand and they are still very much alive. So, to drink down the beauty of this state and relive the chronicles, just visit this majestic land.
