Travel Destinations in Andhra Pradesh

India Travelers Must travel to Andhra Pradesh because Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is one the southern eastern state with the second largest coastline. AP  is very well known for its great cities and rich Indian culture and heritage. It is also called as “Rice Bowl of India” because of its ability to produce maximum amount of rice. Godavari and Krishna are the two main rivers flowing through this state. The Andhra Pradesh embraces much of India’s natural beauty and chronicles. From lush green landscapes to vivacious beaches and from mesmerising caves to holiness of Indian religion; all can be seen and felt very closely in Andhra Pradesh.

Charminar: : The historical richness of Andhra Pradesh is unveiled by the architectural beauty and craftsmanship of Charminar. Charminar is another way to represent Hyderabad. This was built around 400 years back by Mohd. Quli Qutub Shah, when he shifted his capital from Golkonda to Hyderbad. This great piece of art is carved from granite and along with sturdiness and richness it also represents the great Indian architecture.

Mecca Masjid: This is another wonder of this state. It is the famous ancient mosque that was built under the reign of Mohd. Quli Qutub Shah. This is said to represent the exclusive Indian craftsmanship. This masjid’s arched facets were designed from single big rock of granite and it took 77 years for it to get its final look. It is said that the bricks for this historical monuments were built from the soil brought from Mecca and hence this is the reason for it be named so. This is considered as one of the largest mosques of India.

Tirupati Temple: Andhra Pradesh is very famous for its temples and holiness. Tirupati is the land for awakening of spiritual beliefs and reaching for God. The Lord Venkateshwara Temple is the heart of religious values and devotions. The Tirupati temple is visited by around 3-4 crore worshippers in a year and is one of the richest temples so far.

Other temples like Shi Padmavati Ammavari Temple, Shri Veda Narayanaswamy Temple,and Shri Kapileshwaraswami Temple are also scared and devotional.

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam: This is one of the most fascinating points for tourist. The Nagarjuna Dam is well known barrage, built on Krishna River for irrigation. This dam is famous in the world for its masonry and height. Along with the great view of this dam, the tourists get an addition view of the largest lake artificial lake.

Near the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, there is a museum by the name Nagarjunakonda, which has some relics of Buddhist excavations of 3rd century. Ethipothala waterfalls and Srisailam Forest are also some of the attracting destination near this wonderful dam.

Rishikonda Beach: Andhra Pradesh being the coastal area is filled with lust green landscapes and beautiful fun fulfilled sea beaches. Rishikonda Beach is the favourite spot for tourist to enjoy the warmth of sun and cool breeze and it is one of the best places in Andhra Pradesh to enjoy scenic beauty. This beach is preferred by people who enjoy water sports.

Some of the other most visited beaches of Andhra Pradesh are Manginapudi Beach, Bheemunipatam Beach and Ramakrishna Beach.

Belum and Guthikonda Cave: There are many caves that exhibit the real craftsmanship of nature. These caves are another most fascinating point of tourism, which has been attracting people from worldwide. Among various caves the Belum Cave highlight the beauty of stalagmite and stalactite formation and Guthikonda Cave are well known for saints and they also tell the story about the prehistoric times.

Other caves like Undavalli Cave has a statue of Lord Vishnu carved from a single piece of granite and Mogalarajapauram Caves are famous for three cave temple in a cave, which are there from 5th century are well known for their religious charms.

Nellapattu Sanctuary: Andhra Pradesh holds some of the Asia’s best life sanctuaries. The Nellapattu Sanctuary is famous for having some special species of birds and it is the largest pelican habitats of Southeast Asia. There are many other wildlife sanctuaries in Andhra Pradesh, like the Coringa Sanctuary, Manjira Bird Sanctuary, Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, and many more. All these sanctuaries are designed and preserved for animals and animal lovers.

Andhra Pradesh is a state that holds more than what can be seen or written. It is a mesmerising land, which in itself holds a beautiful image of complete India. The enigmatic charm of this state cannot be described in word or pictures, it for eyes and minds that love to travel and learn.
